Which iphone camera should I align with the binoculars’ adapter hole?

Turn on your phone’s camera and cover each rear camera with your finger one by one. When the main camera is covered, the camera screen will become a deep red and blurry. Align the binoculars’ iris with your smartphone camera aperture.

Would these binoculars be sufficient for an African safari in early May?

Yes very crisp and clear images ! I can see upto a mile clear images even what’s written on a moving vehicle I could read that!

Is the lens cap fixed on the binoculars or is it completely removable?

The lens cover is not installed. If you prefer, you can remove it permanently. It is only fixed by the rubber ring on the front.
